As the sole UX designer at the company, I took a central role in developing LitiGate's Bundles feature, enriching the platform as an intelligent litigation operating system. This feature simplifies legal data management, benefiting law interns, lawyers, and firm partners by streamlining the creation of court-compliant bundles.

Challenges

Legal professionals grapple with bundle creation and approval, often hampered by a lack of collaboration, fragmented legal data, and version control issues. The existing solutions lacked legal-specific functionalities, leading to disconnected information and cumbersome bundle management.

Process

  • I partnered with in-house legal experts, our CEO, and customer success team to deeply understand bundle creation nuances.

  • I worked hand in hand with the development team and product manager, and together we refined the feature's scope and created initial wireframes.

Solution

We balanced business opportunities and user challenges, and aligned technical capabilities with bundle creation needs, by:

  • Integrating bundles swiftly into our case management using the existing SDK (WebView).

  • Enhancing editing with inline edits, reordering functions, bulk actions, and intuitive menus.

  • Automating bundle index and cover generation, ensuring dynamic updates.

  • Bolstering collaboration by enabling bundle owner changes for efficient progress tracking.
